March Newsletter

March comes in like a lion and it looks like it's leaving like a lamb. So the old adage is true...at least for now. Maybe your're catching a bit of spring fever or maybe it's just madness over the big tournaments being played right now. Hopefully your bulbs and brackets are fairing well this season!

March sure is a busy month. Here at the office, we are feeling both madness and excited energy as we go through a bit of remodeling here in the building. Soon we'll be transitioning to a newly designed space - stay tuned for more updates on that! For now, we are embracing longer days and warmer temperatures. Hope you had a great March and are looking forward to a fabulous April!

What's news with us ...

Recently, our Client Care Coordinator, Delaney, attended the Social Workers' Legislative Education and Advocacy Development (LEAD) day at the Indiana State House hosted by the National Association of Social Workers. This is an event that many social work students attend to begin dipping their toes into the world of advocacy and policy. The event consisted of social work students, State Representatives, Senator Tim Lanane, and many more presenting on current House and Senate bills. Delaney is currently a student at IUPUI with a focus on social work, so this opportunity was valuable to her future career.

April Grunden and husband, Jody, spend most weekends traveling around the country to see their daughter and GLO employee, Lexi, play hockey for Adrian College. On March 3rd, the Adrian Bulldogs became conference champs in overtime on home ice giving them an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament! With a win at the NCAA Regional Champions in overtime, the Bulldogs earned a ticket in to the Frozen Four in Minneapolis where they placed third.
